Our Story

Our Story

Every piece begins with a moment of curiosity — a colour, a texture, a feeling worth holding onto.

Made by Hand, One Series at a Time

This is not a Toy is a small independent studio creating handmade resin earrings and jewelry in limited, numbered series. Each collection is designed and crafted by hand, in small batches, so that every piece remains genuinely unique.

When a series sells out, it's gone. No restocks, no mass production — just a finite number of pieces, each with its own number, made to be worn and loved.

The Craft of Resin

Working with resin is a slow, attentive process. Each piece is poured, layered, and cured by hand. Pigments, botanicals, and textures are added with care — no two pieces turn out exactly alike, even within the same series. That's not a flaw; it's the point.

The result is jewelry that feels considered. Lightweight enough for everyday wear, distinctive enough to start a conversation.

Small Moments of Beauty

The name says it all. These aren't collectibles to be kept behind glass — they're made to be part of your day. To catch the light on your commute. To feel like something just for you.

We believe that beautiful, handmade things don't have to be precious or out of reach. They just have to be made with intention.

Materials & Care

Resin: High-quality, lightweight, and durable. Each piece is sealed and finished by hand.

Findings: Hypoallergenic stainless steel or surgical steel ear hooks and posts.

Care: Keep away from prolonged direct sunlight and moisture. Store in a cool, dry place. Clean gently with a soft cloth.

Limited Series — What Does That Mean?

Each design is released as a numbered series — for example, a run of 10 or 20 pieces. Your piece comes with its series number, so you know exactly where it sits in the collection. Once the series is complete, that design is retired.

It's our way of keeping things intentional, and of making sure that what you wear is genuinely one of a kind.

Thank you for being here. We hope you find something that feels like it was made for you — because in a way, it was.
