Three things I love, unrelated to each other, until they weren't: a bonsai I've shaped for two years, a small home tank I keep just to watch something tiny do its own thing, and a brand built on noticing small things and connecting them.
The leaf started as a linden (Tilia cordata ) trimming from the bonsai, fed to the tank the way any spare leaf would be. A few weeks later, the soft part was gone — just the skeleton left, this pale, veined lattice still holding its shape with nothing soft left to hold. I didn't paint that texture. The tank did.
When I counted what was left worth using, there were exactly enough clean circles for four per earring — one on the stud, two below and one behind. Mindful obsessions, the love of circles. I didn't plan that. I just noticed it, the same way I noticed the leaf in the tank in first place.
Each circle is hand-outlined in white against a blue shimmer background that reads almost opal in the light, then sealed under a final coat of clear varnish.
You're not buying a leaf-print earring. You're buying the actual leaf — the two-year-old tree in my care, the tank I keep for no better reason than liking tiny ecosystems, and the three things in my life that finally found their own line to each other, these earrings at a time.
