Most things look flatter the less you look at them.
From a step back, this is just an earthy, gold-flecked stud — pretty enough, easy to walk past without a second look.
Closer, there are two leaves, not one. A blurred, faded skeleton sits underneath, already settled, the way something looks after it's been on the ground a while. A sharper, darker leaf lies over it, closer, catching more light — like it just landed and hasn't faded yet.
That's not paint faking depth. It's a real skeletonized linden leaf doing what it naturally does — thinning down to lattice until almost nothing's left but cellulose, the same structural fiber that holds every plant upright to begin with. What looks decorative here is really just the plant's own architecture, uncovered.
Gold ink sits in the gaps, catching light exactly where the leaf let it in.
An everyday piece, easy enough to forget you're wearing — until the light hits right, and it asks you to look again.
